After reading Edgar Allan Poe’s poem ‘Annabel Lee’ so many times in the last two weeks, I concluded that it is one of the most devastating, yet loving poem ever.

I feel compelled to read more of Poe’s works after recommending students to read Poe’s literature.

Little known fact: I didn’t know he is considered to be the father of modern detective stories.

Check out MathVids, free math videos. Informational and free! I feel like I am back in college again. One major difference is that I am not bored 98%. I am fascinated by how instructors present and teach their materials. Very cool.

Someday, I’ll be making youtube video, podcasts, or maybe, host my online radio show! Of what? I don’t know yet. And will anyone listen? Who knows?

But social media is *awesome* and is there at our fingertips. We should make use of them.

One of many political ads will be coming our way soon.

Recently, I came across this Youtube ad sponsored by Carly Fiorina’s campaign. Fiorina, a former Hewlett Packard CEO and McCain supporter, is one of the GOP’s hopeful to running for the Senate, namely for Senator Barbara Boxer’s seat. However, Fiorina must compete against her opponents Chuck DeVore and Tom Campbell.

I thought this ad was rather long (<10 mins) and little bit flashy. It didn’t tell you who the real ‘demonsheeps’ are. Many critics think it’s an amateurish ad, and maybe it is. However, it definitely caught my attention and also many, many views, which is probably what Fiorina camp want.

The funny part is the middle and end segment.

The message of this ad to me is…BEWARE OF THE DEMONSHEEPS!

I knew something was wrong when I opted not to continue with science class in high school.

Three years of Science was required at my high school. As a result, I didn’t take Physics or Biology class after Chemistry.

Since I didn’t take Physics, I am now learning vector, cross products, etc. Youch!

Mass movements

I tried to read political theory on mass movement back in grad school days, but I couldn’t stomach it. I had too many theory readings at the time.

Lately, I want to revisit two things: (1) mass movement as a political and social behavior and (2) historical memory.

So next book to buy is…dum dum dum…
